About Paul

Paul Bolen was born March 29, 1970  He grew up in a small town called Snow Hill in the state of Maryland.  He was raised in a wonderful Christian family who loved the Lord and loved to sing.  His mother, Vera was a pastor’s daughter and Paul was exposed to singing at a young age.  In fact, His mother would take him to the local nursing home where together they would sing for the residents when he was only three yrs. old.

Paul would often sing at his local church and over the years, he sang and performed in school and church plays and talent shows. In High School, Paul wrote and performed music for a production that the drama club wrote about Drugs and Alcohol abuse.  He also played trumpet in his high school band where he made ALL Shore Band from his sophomore through his senior year.  He started the trend of singing the Star-Spangled Banner live before every home basketball game.

After graduating from Snow Hill High School, Paul continued his education at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore where he began to pursue a major in music.  After two and half years, Paul dropped out to prayerfully consider what God wanted for his life.

In the spring of 1991, the Campus Choir from Lee College (Lee University, Cleveland TN) came and performed at his local church in Salisbury, Maryland.   Paul was so impressed, that he filled out a college application that night, and in less than three weeks, he received his acceptance letter.  In the Fall of 1991, Paul found himself in the register’s office starting his journey of a lifetime. That same fall semester, Paul tried out for Campus Choir and was accepted under the direction of the late, Dr. David Horton. Continuing with his pursuit of music, he also performed with the symphonic band playing both trumpet and baritone. (Not at the same time)

While attending Lee, Paul was given the opportunity through Campus Choir to sing with recording artists like Babbie Mason, Alvin Slaughter, and Phil Driscoll.

In 1994, Paul graduated from Lee University with a degree in Christian Education with a minor in music and Bible.  After graduating, Paul has been in full-time ministry as either music minister or youth pastor or both at churches in Georgia, Maryland, Florida, and Ohio.

He is extremely, happily married to his wife Faith and they have a lovely, God fearing, daughter Tiffany.  Paul stepped out of Full-time ministry in 2016 to pursue his love of writing and singing choir and gospel music.  He is executive producer of three albums “I’m Brand New” "Rise Up!" and "God is Big in Me" and wrote/ co-wrote every song for all three albums.  The song, “God You’re Amazing” was picked up by Gloryway Quartet and was the title track to their latest Album and has charted in the top 10 on multiple stations across the country! Another group, KT&T has just recorded one of Paul’s songs, “Never Changing Mighty God.”

His motto is to “Be Great at the Great Commandment” Paul’s favorite sayings are “Only You Can Make Yourself Happy”, “The best two times to pray are when you feel like it and when you don’t” and "Owe no man nothing but love" Romans 13:8
